Damon became very interested in bird photography in 1990 when he met Don Waite, and has since photographed nesting birds throughout B.C., Alberta, Yukon, Northwest Territories, and Oregon over the past 18 years. Damon also enjoys photographing people, having been busy doing headshots, portraits, weddings, concerts, plays, dance shows, and babies over the past few years. Flights of Fantasy: Photographing North American Birds was Damon's first book, published in 2007, and he is currently working on his second book, Moments of Discovery: Photographing North American Birds. In addition to his books, Damon also has had articles published in Living Bird Magazine and Wildlife Afield, and his photos have appeared in The Alberta Atlas of Breeding Birds: A Second Look and Enjoying Hummingbirds in the Wild & In Your Yard.
